You can now hear The WAVE on 107.3 HD2 (digital radio), and streaming at WNWV.com.
After more than 20 years of providing smooth jazz to Northeast Ohio, we’re unable to sustain the format any longer due to a change in Ratings Service methodology.
We know many thousands of listeners enjoy 107.3 The WAVE every day and every week throughout Northeast Ohio. The new ratings / measurement system in Cleveland (along with markets all over the United States) has changed the way your listening habits to the The WAVE are measured.
Simply put, lower measurement equals lower ratings. Consequently, we cannot sustain the overhead associated with bringing you the music you love.
Unlike other markets that have abandoned Smooth Jazz forever, we have not.
We’ve moved it to another location on the dial (107.3 HD2) so you can still listen.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and sincerely hope you seek out the station at its new home. You may also continue streaming The WAVE from any computer anytime right here at WNWV.COM.
In place of The WAVE, we’ve produced a new, fresh and wholly ‘Cleveland’ adult-alternative station…107.3 Boom!
The music is new, and classic, and in many cases hasn’t had a fair play in Cleveland for many years. It’s put together with a fresher presentation as well.
While Cleveland Radio has a rich heritage, many music formats on the dial today are corporate “off-the-shelf” brands programmed from other cities. What you hear in Cleveland is identical to what’s programmed in dozens of other cities as well.
107.3 Boom! is all together unique. We’re local, independent, and operated by passionate radio folks who live and work right here in Northeast Ohio.
We’re your neighbors and friends. You’ll know some of us as soon as you listen.
And we hope you’re surprised when you listen, because you haven’t heard music put together like this in a long time in Cleveland.
